A container house on the north shore.
Forty feet of corrugated steel on a green corner lot, with a pergola-covered pine deck and solar on the roof — so when the grid goes down, the lights here don't. Jobos, Shacks and Montones are minutes away. Booked direct with the owner. No platform, no service fee.
The building
It is a steel box, and that is the point.
Most rentals on this coast are stucco boxes that photograph the same. This one is a shipping container — corrugated steel, raw pine, and a roof that pays its own electric bill. It looks like what it is.
Slate-blue steel body
A 40-foot container, deep vertical corrugation, cut for a full-height glass door and louvered windows.
Pergola over the deck
New timber, shed-pitch rafters ledgered to the container, black railing and two steps to grade.
Rooftop solar array
Tilted panels the length of the roof, feeding the inverter cabinet on its pad at the west end. Power stays on when the neighbourhood's doesn't.
Corner lot, green
Two open sides in a coastal subdivision. Atlantic in view from roof height.

The drawing

Isabela's north shore does not have one beach, it has a menu. Which one you want depends on the swell and on who you brought.
